An Ounce of Prevention: "Iyanla Vanzant Speaks on Black Women Being 'Out of Order'"

OK my other-culture-sistahs...

For a lot of reasons, this video must go up. It is directed to black women but feel free to watch if you would like. There's not much more to say. Iyanla pretty much covers it.

Actually, I will say this, though...

I dig how she continues to say "As female representatives of the Creator..." Indeed we are (Genesis 1:26-28). More of us should keep that in mind when it comes to the words that we speak and the choices that we make. Personally, I've always dug that a woman is first defined as being a helper (Genesis 2:18) and so is the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we are supposed to take on the character traits listed in the Amplified Version of John 14:23: "Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby)". When we're not acting this way, we're not not being ourselves.
