"On Fire": (VIDEO SERIES) The Progression of Godly Love

So...

The couple I'm about to share on this post actually had me at the name of the production company that did their engagement video: DIVINE INTERVENTION FILMS. So many people are not together due to divine intervention (Proverbs 3:5-6) but their own desires (Psalm 106:15). And that's unfortunate because marriage doesn't work, as God intended (and rarely does it even last), without him .

I also really liked/respected when the groom/husband Dominick said "God has put you in my path. He hasn't really given me any reason to question why you're the one." (Do your actions give a man reason to question if you're first a godly woman? He needs to be able to come to that resolve before deciding if you truly are the one for him. Godly men know that.)

Anyway...

As I was doing some praying/meditating about the "On Fire" sistahs this morning, there was a simple thing that the Lord shared with me:

Tell my daughters to stop asking me if 'he's' attracted, interested or likes them. There is a far more important question than that and it is if he is living a life of conviction. Conviction about serving me. Conviction about following my will. Conviction about the purpose of marriage and intimacy. Once a man lives in spiritual conviction, he is able to transition into spiritual revelation. And that includes the revelation about who is truly my best for him. And when.

Conviction: a fixed or firm belief
Antonyms: doubt, unbelief

We know this is biblical because Adam lived a life of conviction. Due to his strong relationship with God, his relationship with his own "the one" played out like so:

"Then the Lord God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.' So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one. He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper just right for him.

So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man.

'At last!' the man exclaimed. 'This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called "woman," because she was taken from "man."'

This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one. Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame."---Genesis 2:18-25(NLT)

ALL GOD HAD TO DO WAS BRING THE WOMAN TO ADAM...
AND HE HAD THE CONVICTION THAT SHE WAS THE ONE FOR HIM...
'CAUSE HE ALREADY HELD THE CONVICTION THAT GOD ALWAYS KNOWS WHAT'S BEST.

So, here comes a four-part video (although there are more than these featuring the couple)...
It's a nice reminder of what happens when a relationship has GOD at its foundation...
As marriage was *always* created/designed/intended to be (Matthew 19:6).

It pays to marry someone who lives under conviction!
